Manage Streamlined Purchasing

If your subscription offers contingent pricing or win-back offers, you have the option to disable streamlined purchasing for your app. Streamlined purchasing allows customers who don’t have your app installed to purchase auto-renewable subscriptions directly from the App Store.

Streamlined purchasing is enabled by default. If your subscription requires steps at the time of purchase, such as signing into the app, you can choose to turn off streamlined purchasing. When turned off, customers will have to go into your app to complete subscription purchases.

Before you can turn off streamlined purchasing, your latest approved binary must include the necessary StoreKit APIs. Turning off streamlined purchasing will apply to all subscriptions in your app, and is not supported for subscription offer codes or promo codes for in-app purchases.

Required role: Account Holder, Admin, App Manager, or Marketing. View role permissions.

To turn on or turn off Streamlined Purchasing:

  1. From Apps, select your app.

  2. In the sidebar, click Subscriptions.

  3. Choose the subscription group containing your subscription.

  4. Click the subscription you wish to edit.

  5. Scroll down to Streamlined Purchasing and click Edit.

  6. Streamlined purchasing is on by default. Turning it off will require your latest approved binary to include the necessary StoreKit APIs.
